JSON Checker is built to keep your payloads on your machine. This page states what the extension does and does not do with data.
Local processing only
Checking, formatting, and repairing JSON happen inside the extension in your browser. Payload text is not uploaded to a server operated by us.
No host permissions
The extension does not declare host permissions that would let it read arbitrary websites in the background. It can use the active tab when you invoke a feature that needs it (for example reading a selection you asked it to check).
No network requests from the extension
The extension itself does not send your JSON, browsing history, or usage analytics to remote endpoints. Opening this website or the Chrome Web Store listing is separate from the extension runtime.
What is stored on your device
The current payload (and related panel state needed to reopen the
side panel without losing work) may be kept in
chrome.storage.local on your computer. You can clear it
by clearing the editor, removing the extension, or clearing the
extension’s local storage through Chrome.
